Equality and accessibility
Streets, town centres and public buildings that everyone can use, including people with disabilities or reduced mobility: ramps, lifts and barrier-free routes.
A Nokia where every resident feels part of the community, and a society that respects the limits of our planet.
I'm active in local politics with the Greens (Nokian Vihreät). I have been a candidate in every Nokia City Council election since 2008: 2008, 2012, 2017, 2021 and 2025. In 2025 I was also a candidate for the Pirkanmaa Wellbeing Services County Council.
I serve the City of Nokia as a Trusted Official for Property Transactions (kiinteistötoimitusten uskottu mies). City Council decisions 2.6.2025 (opens in a new tab)
As a representative of the Nokia Greens I have also served on the boards of the city's rental housing companies:
Streets, town centres and public buildings that everyone can use, including people with disabilities or reduced mobility: ramps, lifts and barrier-free routes.
Cooperation between the city, sports clubs and associations, open events, and accessible culture and leisure services.
Barrier-free sports services for young people, older adults and people with disabilities, and a swimming hall that stays open all year round.
Fair and equal services near residents, not twenty kilometres away. This matters most for older adults, families with children and people with disabilities.
Keep developing healthcare, education and teaching even when the city's finances are under pressure.
A good place to live, grow and do business, with a favourable environment for local entrepreneurs and innovation.
Green values guide my civic work: tackling the climate crisis, halting biodiversity loss, a sustainable economy, investing in education and caring for those in the weakest position. Years ago I supported climate campaigns such as The Big Ask / Polttava kysymys and SOS Clima, and I still believe that climate responsibility belongs to all of us.
In my professional field I also care about technology that lasts: secure, maintainable systems that don't have to be thrown away and rebuilt every few years.
